Volunteers from Korea

After their initial visit to our school in October 2018, the Korean volunteers returned in early November 2019.

This event was jointly organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Korean Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the global non-profit housing organization Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong, under the "Korean Corporate Social Responsibility" (K-CSR) initiative. They mobilized the Korean community in Hong Kong to assist with cleaning our school campus. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with them on two occasions.

On that day, a group of Korean students and professionals residing in Hong Kong, along with our staff, teachers, students, and parents, participated in cleaning the school campus. We worked in the covered playground, basketball court, classrooms, and various special rooms. We were truly touched by the dedication of the volunteers; despite being drenched in sweat, they remained energetic and joyful. Our students even attempted to communicate with them in the Korean they had learned from their interactions. It was a cherished experience for everyone involved, fostering meaningful exchange and connection.

After the cleaning, we enjoyed a delicious meal of Korean roasted chicken and Hong Kong cuisine. Next came the performances of Korean Taekwondo and our school's Hip Hop Dance. Cheers and applause filled the school campus, enveloping everyone in excitement. As the event drew to a close, everyone looked forward to meeting again in the future.
