Positive Education Learning Journey in Australia

Since 2017, our school, along with five other schools, has established a collaborative positive education learning community, with Principal Chan Leung Suk-ching from Kau Yan Primary School serving as an advisor, actively promoting positive education.

In early April 2018, to deepen our understanding of the philosophy of positive education, our principal led a study tour to Australia, which included the vice principal and several teachers. The group attended a large international positive education seminar (PESA Conference), where they listened to insights from the founder of "Positive Education," American psychologist Dr. Martin Seligman, as well as presentations from various educational scholars and psychologists sharing their research and experiences. Through this seminar, the participants gained a deeper understanding of the implementation and practical methods of positive education.

Additionally, the group had the opportunity to visit two local Australian schools, Wooranna Park Primary School and Geelong Grammar School. The educators there shared their strategies for promoting deep learning and positive education, and we could truly feel their love for their students. We firmly believe that the most important aspect of education is "love," making this a profound learning journey.
