The Boys' Brigade at School: Nurturing My Growth and Strengthening My Self-Discipline

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of my school is the Boys' Brigade gathering on Saturdays. It’s a fun activity that I thoroughly enjoy and where I feel I am growing. Not only do I engage in drill training, but I also learn more about Jesus, which deepens my understanding of Christianity.

During drill training, it’s always amusing to see some members end up in the wrong positions, turning what is meant to be a formal drill into a fun experience. Through this activity, I have learned to follow instructions, which has been a real challenge for me. While I don’t get much intensive training on self-discipline in formal lessons, here I have to listen and comply.

Besides the drills, we also enjoy various games. One of my favourites is the Bible quiz, where I actively participate. It helps strengthen my knowledge and boosts my confidence. Additionally, there are surprises like chess games, water battles, and movies. We all eagerly anticipate the gathering every weekend.

The Boys' Brigade at school is not just an ordinary gathering. It’s an experience that teaches me self-discipline, teamwork, and coordination with fellow members. These moments are precious to me, and I look forward to each gathering!
