The school has adopted a series of extra-curricular activities focused on STEM education. One of the most engaging activities is BATTLEACE. This activity combines technology, coding, speed, and strategic skill development, allowing students to participate in exciting battle games while experiencing the fun of STEM learning.

The Philosophy behind BATTLEACE

BATTLEACE is more than just a battle game. It is thoughtfully designed to nurture students’ problem-solving skills and team spirit. While creating the “robot,” students engage in discussions to formulate strategic combinations that strengthen their ability to counter opponents effectively and achieve victory. This collaborative gameplay not only fosters teamwork but also allows students to reinforce STEM concepts through practical application, making the learning experience both impactful and enjoyable.

Students’ Reflection

In the first session, students explored the various components of the “robot” and attempted to combine them creatively. This presented a new challenge for them, as many had limited experience with technical tools like screwdrivers, and the small compartments added to the complexity of the task. Despite these difficulties, the students' eyes shone with excitement and joy throughout the process.

Several students reflected that this type of activity deepened their interest in the STEM fields. They realized that technology is not merely theoretical. It is a powerful tool that can be put into action.

More than a Battle

BATTLEACE offers a platform for "battle”, but it is, in fact, a space for students to practise their STEM knowledge. The platform features real-time battles, requiring students to respond quickly and adjust their strategies. This demands effective communication and collaboration, which are essential skills in both life and work.
