STEM: Mathematics and Science Technology Activities
S = Science
Balloon-Powered Car Racing : From collecting materials to designing and assembling, the entire process was managed by the students. Engaging in hands-on practice is incredibly inspiring for learning in science and technology.

Sponsored by Green Power and Shell Hong Kong Limited, the school has established a “Butterfly Garden” on the roof. This garden provides food and shelter for butterflies at all stages of their life and has successfully created a natural habitat for them. Our students can observe the life cycle of butterflies and investigate the relationship between the environment and their growth.
In additional, we were honored to win third prize in the “Butterfly x STEM” Competition in Hong Kong, receiving the trophy presented by the Secretary for the Environment of HKSAR.

T = Technology
In collaboration with EDU DYNANMUX Company Hong Kong, the school has established a platform that allows students to use iPads for field trip projects around the community. Students can collect first-hand information through photography, interviews, and personal experiences.

Investigation on “Circuit”
Closed Circuit Power Boat Racing: From collecting materials to designing and assembling, the entire process was managed by the students. This hands-on practical approach was incredibly inspiring for students, as it allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of how electronic components, such as batteries, work together to power a boat.

M = Mathematics
The teacher set up the game in both the old and new hall. Students worked in groups to trace the clues and find out the answers within the set time. They were highly motivated!

In the task, students were asked to create the itinerary of a birthday party for a friend. They needed to calculate the time required for each activity or “slot” in the itinerary. It was a creative and practical learning experience.

For the primary one students, we organized a shopping experience in a supermarket. Under the teacher's guidance, the students were required to read the price labels, count their money, and calculate the change. This was a fun experience that was both practical and educational, as it allowed the students to apply their numeracy skills in a real-world setting.
M = Mathematics
Through hands-on practice, students learned about the capacity of different containers, reading the volume markings on containers , and becoming familiar with different volume units. This knowledge can then be applied to encourage the students to have healthy drinking habits.

In recent years, our School Math Olympiad Team has won numerous awards and accolades in both regional and territory-wide competitions. This year, in the preliminary round of the Asia-Pacific Math Olympiad, the number of awarded students reached a new high: 166 students. Our P.6 team even won the runner-up position in group competition.
This success not only showcases the students’ exceptional mathematical abilities but also highlights the school’s commitment to nurturing their talents and providing them with opportunities to excel.
