Empower Students to Engage with their Communities and Make Meaningful Contributions

This year, our Primary 5 students are participating in the Jockey Club Life Adventure Opportunity Hub, a community engagement programme designed to foster holistic development. Through this initiative, students will learn to identify the needs of various communities and then design and lead service projects to address those needs. This program provides an excellent opportunity for students to cultivate empathy and a sense of responsibility towards society.

On December 13th, 2024, our students visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where they explored the campus facilities and learned about the university's history. They thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere. Additionally, they had the opportunity to meet the Principal and the CEO of a social enterprise. During this meeting, our students shared their learning experiences from the past two months, including their community visits, the needs they identified, and their plans to provide assistance. The sharing session was both valuable and inspiring.

Over the past two months, students have shown remarkable growth. They confidently shared their thoughts, and each one eagerly participated in the program, demonstrating a strong sense of team spirit. This learning experience not only improved their public speaking skills but also fostered their creativity. The program is ongoing, with the next six months dedicated to developing their plans. Whether the outcome is a success or a failure, the most valuable benefit is the deep commitment they have cultivated towards helping others.

The Jockey Club Life Adventure Opportunity Hub is not just a learning experience; it serves as a platform for students to explore their potential. It goes beyond merely contributing to society; it allows students to experience the joy of helping others. We hope our students seize this opportunity to transform knowledge into action and make a positive impact on the community.
